Matter of choice?

This sign inside my campus buildings always puts me into thought.

In times of irritability, I wonder why would someone on a college campus have to be told this? Where am I in reality? Is grad school all an illusion?!

At more calm times, I wonder what would have motivated the usage of this sign at various campus locations? And more importantly, what about other pieces of clothing I would personally consider at least equally important!

Most other times, it just cracks me up! :-)
